Testing

Before applying to PA school, there are a few standardized tests you may need to take. These exams help programs evaluate your academic skills, situational judgment, and readiness for the rigors of PA school. Below is a brief overview of the three main tests.

The GRE, or Graduate Record Examination, is a standardized test that measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing skills. Some PA programs require it to assess your readiness for graduate-level coursework.

CASPer is an online situational judgment test that evaluates your interpersonal skills, ethics, and decision-making in real-world scenarios. Many PA programs use it to understand your professional and personal characteristics.

The PA-CAT is a knowledge-based exam covering science, reasoning, and quantitative skills. It helps programs assess your foundational knowledge and critical thinking for PA school success.
